Daramulum
Daramulum (meaning 'one-legged') is a sky hero in the Aboriginal Australian cultures of southeastern Australia, associated with the supreme creator god Baiame. He is a shapeshifter who can appear in various forms, often depicted with an emu-wife. Daramulum's voice can be heard through the bullroarer, which is whirled through the air during initiation ceremonies. He now lives in the trees of the bush, particularly in burls or growths found on tree trunks, and only leaves them for initiation ceremonies.
