Deer Animal-Spirit of Maliseet
Not independently attested as an animal-spirit of Maliseet folklore. Deer were central to Maliseet subsistence and are honored under the Wabanaki ethic of respect for animal kin, but no specific Maliseet deer spirit or deer-person is documented. Wabanaki spirit figures cluster around Kluskap, the marten and other culture heroes.
