Deer Guardian (Mixtec)
Not independently attested in Chilean tradition. MISATTRIBUTION: The Mixtec are an Indigenous people of Oaxaca, Puebla, and Guerrero in MEXICO, not Chile. Mixtec culture includes Eight Deer Jaguar Claw and deer imagery in codices, but no 'Deer Guardian' exists in Chile. The pudú (small Andean deer) is native to southern Chile, but its guardian is a Mapuche ngen, not a Mixtec figure.
