Delal a Ngibtal
Delal a Ngibtal ('Mother of Ngibtal') is the reef serpent of Palauan tradition, a benevolent water spirit dwelling among coral reefs and shallow lagoons. Her name links her to Ngibtal, the mythic giant clam whose tears are said to move the ocean's tides, and she is credited with commanding the waters and speaking with the fish. She represents the sacred bond between the Palauan people and the sea.
