Drakaina

The Drakaina is the feminine form of the drakon in Greek mythology — a serpent or serpent-woman of chthonic power. Notable drakainai include Echidna, mother of monsters; Campe, guardian of Tartarus slain by Zeus; and Delphyne, the serpent who guarded Zeus' umbilical cord and was killed by Apollo.
