The Eagle Animal-Spirit, known as Waŋblí in the Lakota language, is one of the most sacred beings in Lakota mythology and spirituality of the Great Plains. The eagle is considered the strongest and bravest of all creatures, serving as the primary messenger between humans and Wakan Tanka, the Great Spirit or Great Mystery that pervades all of creation.
