Eagle Guardian of Quechua
Not independently attested as a figure of Quechua tradition. In Quechua cosmology the sacred bird of the upper world, messenger to Inti and the apus, is the condor (kuntur), not an eagle, and no eagle guardian-spirit is recorded. Eagles do appear among the sacred animals of Aymara Isluga, but the entry transfers that role to Quechua Peru without evidence.
