El Boyo
El Boyo is a malevolent water spirit from Nicaraguan folklore, specifically associated with Lake Nicaragua (Cocibolca) and the surrounding rivers. Described as the ghost of a drowned man, it rises from the depths to drag the living down to join it in the watery abyss.
