Eloko
Eloko is a spirit from Mongo-Nkundo mythology. These forest-dwelling creatures are believed to be the restless spirits of ancestors who died with unresolved grudges, condemned to haunt the darkest, densest parts of the rainforest. Unlike benevolent spirits, the Eloko are fiercely territorial and vengeful, guarding their forest treasures including game animals and rare plants. They are known to cast spells on trespassers using enchanted bells that paralyze their victims before they attack. The Eloko embody the Mongo-Nkundo belief that the dead can return to settle scores with the living, servin
