Erlik Khan
Erlik Khan (Erlik) is the great god of death and the underworld, Tamag, in Turkic and Mongolian belief. Brother of the creator Ülgen, he rules the dead below the earth, sends plague and evil spirits against the living, and is propitiated by Buryat, Khakas and Mongolian shamans who seek to travel safely between the worlds of the living and the dead.
