Emadloti
The emadloti are the ancestral spirits of Swazi traditional religion, the most active forces in daily life. Unlike the remote creator Mvelincanti, they watch over descendants and shape fortune; neglect brings illness or misfortune until offerings restore harmony. Offerings include beer libations, prayer and animal sacrifice at life events, the king as chief intermediary to the royal ancestors.
