Evening Star Tsimshian
Evening Star is the celestial daughter of the Sun in the Tsimshian myth of Asdiwal. Appearing on earth as a white bear pursued by the hunter Asdiwal, she carries him into the sky, where he wins her through impossible trials; their union and Asdiwal's later boastfulness are central to the story analyzed by Levi-Strauss.
