Evus are mischievous trickster spirits in Equatorial Guinean folklore (various groups). They dwell at village borders and forest edges, using illusion and shapeshifting to teach moral lessons. Strong-willed determination counters them. Evus appears in tales like 'The Bewitchment of Angutisugsuk' and 'The Spirit of the Great River.
