Fenodyree
The Fenodyree is the Manx brownie, a hairy sprite of the fairy folk (ferrishyn) that helps humans with heavy farm work. One well-known story makes it a disgraced fairy who lost his place at the fairy court and was condemned to labour on the Isle of Man in a wild, hairy form. It threshes a whole barn of corn in a single night, moves great blocks of stone, and mows grass with stupendous speed.
