Fish Hawk Tlingit
In the Tlingit Raven cycle, Fish Hawk (the osprey) appears in a folk-etymological tale of how the osprey gained its white head. Raven, in the shape of a woman, marries a chief, and supernatural power from a shaman turns Fish Hawk's head white; the episode also frames Raven's theft of the sun. The bird's keen sight and pale head are thus explained.
