Fjörulalli
Fjörulalli (Beach Walker) is a smaller variant of the skeljaskrímsli in Icelandic folklore, about the size of a medium dog to a calf. Fjörulalli is covered with shells or lava fragments and has a small rounded head. It is generally considered harmless to humans but has a nasty habit of tearing the udders off sheep it encounters on the beach. Pregnant women were warned to avoid fjörulalli sightings.
