Floghamen (the flying shape) is a shape-shifting spirit from Setesdal folklore in Sørlandet. The floghamen is the spirit-form of a witch or sorcerer that flies through the air while the person's body sleeps. The term comes from flog (flight/flying) and ham (shape/form). In Setesdal tradition, certain people could send their ham (soul-form) out of their body to travel as a bird, a ball of light, or a flying shadow.
