Fosen-Sjøtrollet
Fosen-Sjøtrollet (the Fosen Sea Troll) is a sea troll said to inhabit the waters off the Fosen peninsula in Trøndelag. Unlike the mountain trolls of inland Norway, this sjøtroll (sea troll) lives in the ocean and comes ashore only at night to raid farms. The Fosen-Sjøtrollet is described as a massive, ugly creature that lives in a cave on a remote Fosen skerry, emerging at low tide to hunt for fish and seals.
