Norwegian water spirit - 'Fossegrim' = 'waterfall lord/grim' (from 'fosse' waterfall + 'grim' supernatural/masked). Also: Swedish 'Strömkarlen' (stream-carol player). Supernatural Musician - plays fiddle (Hardanger fiddle) with such mastery that trees dance and waterfalls stop to listen. Plays the sounds of forest, wind, water over strings.
