Ghoul
The ghoul is a flesh-eating desert demon of Arab and Jordanian folklore, classed among the diabolical jinn and said to be offspring of Iblis. It haunts graveyards, ruins, and empty wastes, shifting shape freely but betrayed by its unalterable ass's hooves. Usually female, it lures travellers as an old woman or lost relative, then devours them; a single blow kills it, a second restores it to life.
