Giant monster
In the Origin Myth of Acoma, the hero twins Masewi and Oyoyewi, born from the piñon nuts of Sun Youth, destroyed the monsters that terrorized the emerging Pueblo people. The record's 'giant monster so large it could consume entire villages' condenses this Acoma cycle, in which the twins hunted and slew giant beings across the land.
