Glashtyn
The Glashtyn is a water-being of Manx folklore, recorded in Cregeen's Manx dictionary (1835) as a goblin or sprite and by Joseph Train (1845) as a water-horse that left its native element to mingle with land animals. It was sometimes given the hairy-goblin attributes of the fenodyree and sometimes the horse-like attributes of the cabbyl-ushtey, the Manx water horse, and in one reading was half-bovine and half-equine.
