Gluskabe
Gluskabe is the Abenaki version of the Wabanaki culture hero, created from the dust of the Great Spirit Tabaldak's hands after he finished creating humans. According to Abenaki tradition, Gluskabe and his evil twin brother Malsumis were born together — Gluskabe given the power to create a good world full of kind animals, sweet fruits, and gentle rivers. He captured the Wind Eagle to stop the constant wind, stole tobacco from Grasshopper for the people, founded the First Mother's corn sacrifice, and taught the people how to live.
