Golden Frog
The Golden Frog is a being of Mongolian creation myth: the earth rests on a giant golden frog, and when the frog stirs, the land shakes. Sometimes shown with arrows or bolts pinning it in place, it symbolizes the fixed foundation of the world in Mongol and regional Central Asian cosmology.
