Hans Uredd
Hans Uredd (Fearless Hans) is a folk hero from Norwegian folktales, particularly associated with Trøndelag versions of the AT326 (The Boy Who Didn't Know What Fear Was) tale type. The story features a young man from a Trøndelag farm who is so fearless that he cannot understand what fear means. His quest to 'learn to shudder' takes him through encounters with supernatural beings — trolls, ghosts, the Draug, and the Dead Man's Mass — that are specifically placed in Trøndelag landscapes.
