Heksa Barbro
Heksa Barbro (Barbro Osmundsdatter) is the legendary witch of Lista in Sørlandet, one of the last people executed for witchcraft in the Lister district. Barbro was burned at Engøy, Farsund, in the 1660s for causing deaths, illness, and cattle bewitching through sorcery. According to local legend, Barbro escaped the execution fire by throwing a thread into the air and flying away on it. Her cave, Poddelopte-hula near Drange, is still a local landmark.
