Hes-abo
Hes-abo is a spirit being from the traditional beliefs of the Creek (Muscogee) people, who historically inhabited the southeastern United States. In Creek cosmology, the natural world is filled with various spirit beings, each associated with specific aspects of the landscape and natural phenomena. Hes-abo is understood as a forest spirit connected to the deep woodlands and the knowledge they contain. The Creek people traditionally maintained a complex relationship with the spirit world through ceremonies, dreams, and the guidance of medicine people who could communicate with such beings. Hes-
