The Hmong Creation Spirits are the primordial beings from the Hmong creation myth who repopulated the earth after a great flood destroyed humanity. According to the legend, a great argument between the Sky Father (Saub) and the Earth led to a devastating flood. Only two siblings — a brother and sister — survived by taking refuge inside a hollow gourd or a wooden funeral drum that floated on the waters.
