Ifrit
The ifrit is a powerful and malevolent class of jinn in Arab and Islamic tradition, famed for brute strength, cunning, and a rebellious nature. The Qur'an names the ifrit of the jinn who offered to carry the throne of Bilqis. In popular tales ifrits appear as enormous winged beings of fire and magic, bound to the underworld and to the spirits of the dead.
