Ikenga
Ikenga is the Igbo alusi of achievement, success, strength, and the right hand. Depicted as a horned anthropomorphic figure holding a sword and a severed human head, Ikenga represents personal power, war, and individual accomplishment. Every Igbo man traditionally owned a personal Ikenga shrine representing his chi (personal god) and his right to achieve. The horns symbolize strength and ambition. A man prays to his Ikenga before important undertakings — trading expeditions, warfare, farming, or legal disputes. When a man dies, his Ikenga is broken to release his spirit. The Ikenga cult reinfo
