Jambavan (King of the Bears)
Jambavan is the king of the bears (rikshas) in Hindu texts, a chiranjivi (immortal being) who has lived through multiple cosmic ages. He emerged from the mouth of Brahma when the creator deity yawned, making him one of the first created beings. He was present at the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthana) and circled the dwarf avatar Vamana 21 times in a single leap when Vishnu measured the three worlds. In the Ramayana, he was a key advisor to Sugriva and played a crucial role in Hanuman's awakening — it was Jambavan who reminded Hanuman of his dormant divine powers and encouraged him to lea
