Jarjacha
Jarjacha is a cursed screaming beast of the Peruvian Andes (Ayacucho, Apurímac, Huancavelica). A human transformed by divine punishment for grave sins (incest, sacrilege), it roams high peaks at night emitting terrifying screams that portent death. Only spiritual cleansing by a healer can free the cursed soul. Documented in Quechua oral tradition.
