Joukahainen
Joukahainen is a youthful Finnish warrior who challenges Väinämöinen to a singing contest, loses, and is sung into a mire. Pledges sister Aino as wife; she drowns herself rather than marry the sage. Later ambushes Väinämöinen, killing his horse. In some runic songs he is Väinämöinen's brother or Sampo-quest companion. Name varies widely (Jokkahas, Joukamoinen).
