ǐKaggen
ǐKaggen (also Cagn, the Mantis) is the central trickster-creator deity of the San people of southern Africa, including Namibia. A demiurge and culture hero, ǐKaggen can shapeshift into various animal forms, most frequently a praying mantis, but also a bull eland, a louse, a snake, or a caterpillar. He created the world and all living things, with his favorite creation being the eland, which provided meat for the people. ǐKaggen is a complex figure balancing creation with trickery, wisdom with foolishness.
