Kahp-too-óo-yoo (Corn-stalk Young Man)
Kahp-too-óo-yoo, the Corn-stalk Young Man, is a hero of Isleta Pueblo folklore recorded by Charles F. Lummis: a famous hunter, warrior, and wizard who could control the clouds and bring rain. Bewitched far from home and dying of hunger, he was saved by the Little Black Ant, and his story teaches the power of corn and of even the smallest helpers.
