Kama-itachi
Kama-itachi, meaning "sickle weasel," is a legendary yokai from Japanese folklore, particularly associated with the Koshinetsu region and the mountainous areas of Japan. This supernatural creature is said to ride upon sudden whirlwinds and dust devils, using its razor-sharp front claws to slice human skin with incredible precision. The name combines "kama" meaning sickle and "itachi" meaning weasel, reflecting its distinctive appearance. Victims often feel no pain at the moment of cutting and may not bleed until later, leading to the belief that kama-itachi attacks are supernatural in nature.
