Spirits of Kerkennah (Enchanted Island)
Not independently attested in folklore literature. The sunken-kingdom 'Atlantis' legend of Kerkennah is a modern retelling with no traditional source, and the ghost-inhabitant framing is invented. The real Kerkennah origin stories concern the founding families, notably the Ouled Bou Ali, as studied by Katherine Platt; no sunken kingdom or island-spirit cult appears in the recorded tradition.
