Kipitaakii
Kipitaakii (Old Lady) is the wife of Na'pi and a powerful figure in Blackfoot mythology. She was created alongside Na'pi by Apistotoke and assisted him in shaping the world and creating humans. In the pivotal story of death's origin, Na'pi threw a piece of wood into a river saying if it floated people would die and return after four days; if it sank, death would be permanent. The wood floated, but Kipitaakii rejected this outcome and threw a stone instead, which sank. Na'pi thus decreed permanent death. This story establishes her as the one who determined the final nature of human mortality
