Kolus Kwakwaka Wakw
Kolus is the younger sibling of the Kwakwaka'wakw thunderbird Tseiqami, a supernatural bird who wears a coat of thick white down instead of feathers. The down makes him so warm that he sweats, sheds the coat, and becomes human; a Kolus who flew down from the sky and removed his costume became a founding ancestor, and he helps raise ceremonial house beams.
