Koreisha (Geongumi)

ghost · South Korea · East Asia and Pacific

Not independently attested in folklore literature. 'Koreisha' is the Japanese word for 'elderly people', and no Korean ghost tradition uses this name; the aliases 'geongumi' and 'wonhon' conflate invented names with the real Korean concept of wonhon, the resentful spirit of a wronged dead person. The attested figure is wonhon, not 'koreisha'.
