Kratt
An artificial being of Estonian folklore, the kratt is assembled from hay, straw, old tools or wooden implements and animated by a pact with the Devil, sealed by three drops of blood. It works tirelessly, fetching grain and stealing from neighbors, and must always be given a task, or it turns on its maker. A leak in the roof or a drawn circle forces it to spill its loot.
