Kullervo
Kullervo is the tragic antihero of the Kalevala (runos 31-36), sold into slavery, unknowingly seduces his sister (who drowns herself), destroys his tormentor's cattle, and finally falls on his own sword. His story, compiled by Lönnrot from Karelian runic songs, is the darkest in the epic — a shamanic initiate whose power turns destructive.
