Kvarngubbe
Kvarngubbe is a Swedish mill spirit dwelling in water-powered gristmills, helping or hindering the miller. A skilled fiddler like Näcken, strong like a tomte, he maintains mill machinery at night in exchange for respect. The input record incorrectly describes him as a 'mound man' — kvarn means mill, not mound; the mound guardian is a different being (haugbui).
