Lamya
Lamya (lamia) is a female dragon-serpent of Bulgarian and Balkan folklore, a many-headed monster who devours children and drinks blood. She lives in caves, wells, or the sky and causes drought and eclipses; heroes in Bulgarian folk songs kill her to free the waters, reflecting ancient lamia myths adapted to Slavic lands.
