Ölgii-khorkhoi (Mongolian Death Worm)
Ölgii-khorkhoi, the 'Mongolian Death Worm,' is the legendary cryptid of the Gobi Desert, a thick, fat worm, bright red or orange, as thick as a man's arm, eyeless and mouthless, sometimes with spikes. Buried in sand and emerging after rain, it is said to kill camels and humans with corrosive spit or electric discharge. Popularized in the West since Roy Chapman Andrews, it remains unconfirmed.
