Lindworm (Lindorm)
The lindorm is a wingless, two-legged serpentine dragon of Germanic and Nordic folklore, dwelling in burial mounds, caves, and deep waters. It guards treasure and can speak. Legends tell of lindorms hatched from eggs laid by a woman or grown from a snake that drank milk. The hero typically kills it by thrusting a spear into its mouth. Attested in Danish and Swedish folktale collections.
