Little Black Ants
In the Isleta Pueblo tale collected by Charles F. Lummis, the Little Black Ant is a small but heroic helper who assists Kahp-too-óo-yoo (Corn-stalk Young Man), even taking on the sky itself. Though tiny, the ant's diligence and courage save the young man from his enemies, showing that even the smallest creatures can accomplish great deeds.
