Lobisón
The lobisón is the werewolf of Galician folklore, the regional form of the Iberian lobishome. Its most famous association is Manuel Blanco Romasanta, a nineteenth-century Galician serial killer tried in 1853, who claimed he transformed into a wolf under a curse — a plea that entered Spanish legal and folkloric history. The legend encodes the fear of the man-beast in rural Galicia.
