Lofa
Lofa is a malevolent, ogre-like monster of Chickasaw folklore whose name means 'flayer' or 'skinner,' from his habit of flaying his victims. He appears sometimes as a giant and sometimes as a large, hairy, foul-smelling man; his stench is so overwhelming that it defeats even stronger fighters, and in some tales he abducts women.
