Lono
The Hawaiian god of agriculture, peace, fertility, rain, and music. Lono is one of the four great gods of Hawaiian religion. He is associated with the Makahiki festival, a four-month harvest season dedicated to him when war was forbidden. Lono brings rain to nourish the crops and represents the peaceful, generative forces of nature. His symbol is the mahiole (feathered helmet) and the pulo'ulo'u (a staff topped with woven fiber).
